We opened Elevated Transmission Auto Repair less than 30 months ago. Now, we need to add to our team, including adding a Service Advisor / Service Writer I or II. See our website at elevatedtransmission.com Overview & Requirements: Ideally, you will spend sometime in Springtown to learn our business and , where you may continue on in the role, or be placed in a new shop to be opened soon in either Haslet or the White Settlement areas. You will have the opportunity to learn what you don't already know, about transmission, engine, and general automotive service advisor/writer roles, as well as parts, supplies, and more. We don't have the volume to keep a single Service Advisor busy, so this is a many hats job, including. Customer Reception (in person, phone, text, email, etc.) Customer & Vehicle Data Gathering Diagnostics, services and repair write-up Repair Order management, tracking, disposition Parts and Labor quoting Parts & Supplies Order Management Shipping and Inventory Management You will get busy but it isn't a hectic pace that some shops can be. We pride ourselves on our customer care. We take time to get to know our customers, document their important details and call them back, work with their schedules, and go the extra mile to get their vehicle back on the road. Once you can handle the role, you will still have a lot of extra time to research and learn our business. Pay commensurate with experience and growth in the role. This person should have some automotive experience with US made vehicles, some foreign models is a plus. Being a motorhead is a major plus. We will train you to be able to understand how transmissions are built, repaired, modified, etc. You will work with 3rd party insurance companies on claims. Using Tekmetric and ProDemand, you will answer phones and emails to create pre-repair order tickets, convert to checked in repair orders, through diagnostics to delivery of the repaired vehicle. Strong customer relationship, patience, negotiations, and follow-up are critical to keeping a happy customer from becoming an unhappy one. Your role is to communicate effectively to ensure customers anticipate real-life timelines, potential delays, issue management, and the occasional person that you will never satisfy. You MUST able to be at work on-time, everyday, with a 10 paid days off annual stipend to cover holidays and a couple emergency days off. Workweek is Monday-Friday 8AM to 5PM, with 1-hour lunch. Closed on major holidays. Our work environment includes: Modern shop setting & equipment Relaxed atmosphere On-the-job training Company perks Safe work environment Lively atmosphere Growth opportunities Duties Include: - Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, such as engine, transmission, brake malfunctions, - Help document inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues or areas of concern, including documentation and photographs of issues - Research, price, order, track and receive parts, including return - Track shop parts & supplies and order replenishment parts and supplies as needed - Maintain accurate records of all repairs, services, and parts used Experience: - Proven experience as an Automotive Service Advisor / Writer - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, and mechanical operations, a plus - Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals, a plus Benefits: - Competitive salary based on experience - 10 annual paid days off (80 hours) for holidays, sick, etc. If you have the skills and experience required for this position, we would love to hear from you.
