We are looking for a reliable, hands-on person to help organize, inventory, and prepare a large collection of automotive parts for sale on eBay. This is not a desk job. You will be physically working with automotive parts — removing them from storage, identifying them, inspecting them, cleaning when needed, photographing them, labeling them, organizing them onto shelves, and helping move inventory into a new, organized storage unit. The ideal candidate already has some real-world exposure to cars or automotive parts (auto parts store, repair shop, dealership, salvage yard, personal mechanical work, etc.). You do not need to be a professional mechanic or know every part by name. What we do need is someone who is comfortable around vehicles, can figure things out, and takes initiative instead of waiting to be told every step. Key Responsibilities Remove automotive parts from storage and move them as needed Sort, identify, and determine the vehicle/application of parts Check part numbers / casting numbers when available Inspect parts for obvious damage or defects Clean parts when necessary Photograph parts for online listings Record inventory information and label parts accurately Organize parts onto shelving in a logical system Help prepare and create eBay listings Research comparable listings when needed Keep the work and storage areas organized Assist with moving completed inventory into the new storage unit Perform other related tasks as needed What We’re Looking For Reliable and dependable Physically capable of regularly lifting, carrying, moving, and organizing automotive parts Comfortable working with your hands Some mechanical / automotive familiarity (you should already know what an engine, transmission, suspension component, body panel, trim piece, etc. is) Organized and detail-oriented Self-starter who can work independently Problem-solver — someone who figures things out instead of just saying “I don’t know” Willing and able to learn new processes Comfortable researching unfamiliar parts using part numbers, casting numbers, photos, measurements, and online resources Physical Requirements This is physical warehouse-style work. You will regularly lift, carry, move, load, unload, and organize automotive parts. Some parts can be heavier. This is not a sit-down office position. Screening Questions What previous experience do you have working with automobiles or automotive parts? Have you worked in an auto parts store, repair shop, dealership, salvage yard, warehouse, or similar environment? Please explain. What types of automotive work have you personally done? How comfortable are you identifying common automotive components such as engines, transmissions, body panels, suspension components, interior parts, trim, etc.? Have you ever sold automotive parts online (eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, or other platforms)? Do you have experience photographing products and creating online listings? Are you comfortable researching an unfamiliar automotive part using part numbers, casting numbers, vehicle information, measurements, photos, and online resources? If you were given an automotive part that you didn’t recognize, what steps would you take to figure out what it is before listing it for sale? Are you comfortable with a job that requires regularly lifting, carrying, moving, and organizing automotive parts? Do you have reliable transportation to and from the job? What is your availability (days/hours)? What hourly pay are you looking for? How to Apply Apply through Indeed and answer all screening questions completely. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Pay: $9.00 - $12.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Work Location: In person
