Key Responsibilities Counter Operations: Serve both internal technicians at the shop counter and retail/wholesale customers at the front counter with fast, accurate parts identification and fulfillment. Parts Lookup & Sourcing: Utilize GM Electronic Parts Catalogs (EPC) and DMS systems to locate correct OEM parts, quote pricing, check availability, and place special orders when necessary. Inventory & Stocking: Receive daily parts shipments, verify packing slips, restock bin locations, and participate in regular inventory cycle counts. Phone & Order Fulfillment: Handle incoming calls for parts inquiries, take wholesale orders, and coordinate deliveries or customer pickups. Service Collaboration: Partner with service advisors and shop technicians to ensure repair orders are completed on schedule with the right components. Qualifications & Requirements Experience: 1+ years of automotive parts counter experience at a dealership, independent repair shop, or retail auto parts supplier (NAPA, AutoZone, O'Reilly, etc.). Dealership or GM experience is a strong plus. Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Electronic Parts Catalogs (EPC) and dealership management systems (e.g., CDK, Dealertrack, Reynolds & Reynolds). Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift/move items weighing up to 50 lbs. Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
