Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and identify their automotive needs through active listening and effective communication. Assist customers in selecting the correct parts and accessories by utilizing automotive diagnostics, vehicle systems knowledge, and inventory management tools. Provide expert advice on automotive repair procedures, vehicle maintenance, and troubleshooting mechanical issues. Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems, handle cash and electronic payments with integrity, and ensure proper cash handling procedures. Manage inventory control by stocking shelves, organizing parts, conducting inventory audits, and maintaining accurate stock levels with inventory management software. Collaborate with the service department and customers to fulfill orders efficiently, ensuring timely order fulfillment and delivery. Build strong customer relationships through personalized service, follow-up communication, and understanding client preferences—enhancing customer loyalty. Maintain organized work areas, keep track of stock levels using CDK, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Support retail sales efforts by promoting automotive repair services, accessories, and parts sales initiatives to meet business goals. Experience Previous experience in automotive parts sales or retail sales environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle systems, mechanical troubleshooting, and auto parts management is essential. Dealership experience or familiarity with automotive repair processes enhances your ability to serve customers effectively. Proficiency in inventory management software (such as CDK), POS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and retail math is advantageous. Strong organizational skills combined with excellent communication abilities—both bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) and multilingual skills—are highly valued. Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with customers while maintaining a positive attitude contributes to successful sales outcomes. Experience handling cashiering duties including cash handling and POS transactions ensures smooth checkout processes.
