Automotive Parts Counter Person

We are looking for a motivated, dependable, and customer-focused Automotive Parts Consultant to join our dealership team. The Parts Consultant is responsible for assisting customers and service technicians with identifying, locating, and ordering automotive parts while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced dealership environment. Responsibilities Assist retail customers, service technicians, and wholesale customers with identifying and purchasing automotive parts. Look up parts using electronic parts catalogs and dealership computer systems. Identify correct parts based on vehicle year, make, model, VIN, and application. Prepare parts quotes, invoices, and special orders. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stocking and organizing parts. Receive incoming parts shipments and verify orders for accuracy. Communicate with service advisors, technicians, and customers regarding parts availability and delivery times. Process customer purchases, returns, and warranty-related parts transactions according to dealership procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts department. Build positive relationships with customers and coworkers. Follow dealership policies and procedures while maintaining a high level of accuracy and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Previous automotive parts or dealership experience preferred, but not required. Knowledge of automotive parts, systems, and terminology is a plus. Strong customer service and communication skills. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn dealership software. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team. Ability to lift and move automotive parts as needed.
