The ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment to parts customers The ability to procure the needed parts for over-the-counter retail and wholesale customers & our award-winning Service Department and Technicians for the repair of vehicles in our shop. The ability to build good working relationships with customers. Someone detail-oriented & previous experience with inventory is a plus The ability to work closely with Service Technicians to procure the correct parts the first time. Someone proficient with technology including working with windows based PCs, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. A desire to learn, a great attitude, and people skills are a must! Previous experience with automotive or dealership DMS experience is a plus but NOT required - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - *** WHAT WOULD I BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DOING? Learn and be proficient in the use of Volkswagen Parts systems and software to ensure correct parts are being quoted and procured for Service Department Technicians and Advisors the first time and promptly to minimize vehicle downtime, maintain shop productivity and meet or exceed customer expectations. Provide exceptional customer service to retail and wholesale customers and Service Dept. Technicians via face-to-face interaction, phone, e-mail, fax, and internal Dealership messaging system. Build accurate parts quotes for service repair orders, retail and wholesale customers. Checking parts availability. Maintain detailed records of all special-order parts and notify the appropriate Service Dept. personnel, retail or wholesale customers when they arrive. Maintain the special-order parts inventory area in a neat and organized manner. Collect cash, check, and credit card payments and pre-payments for parts and special orders. Check-in daily stock orders and other orders from various vendors. Put away re-stock parts in their appropriate drawer or shelf daily.
