Header Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on automotive and heavy equipment systems, including transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, suspension, brakes, and HVAC components. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, alignment checks, and equipment inspections to ensure safety and efficiency. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately. Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently during repair or fabrication tasks. Carry out welding, soldering, assembly, and fabrication work to repair or modify equipment and vehicle parts. Use power tools and hand tools effectively for disassembly, repair, or assembly of various mechanical components. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction with the work performed. Header Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive repair and heavy equipment mechanics. Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, heavy truck repair, and industrial equipment maintenance. Skilled in using schematics for diagnostics of automotive electrical systems and complex machinery troubleshooting. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge across vehicle systems such as transmissions, shocks & struts, air brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and HVAC systems. Experience working with power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and performing equipment maintenance tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required.
