Location: Newburgh, NY Employment: Full-Time & Part-Time Positions Available Starting Pay: $25.00 per hour (based on experience) Schedule: Monday – Friday | Flexible hours between 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM Experience: Minimum 1 year required Job Description Lawn Spa Landscaping Inc. is looking for a reliable, experienced Automotive, Diesel & Fleet Maintenance Mechanic to join our growing commercial landscaping and excavation company. We are seeking a motivated, hands-on individual who can maintain and repair a fleet of gas and diesel trucks, commercial landscaping equipment, trailers, and heavy machinery owned by our company. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with flexible scheduling Monday through Friday to accommodate the right candidate. Job Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on gas and diesel vehicles. Complete oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and preventative maintenance. Perform tire changes, rotations, mounting, and flat repairs. Diagnose and repair brakes, suspension, steering, and mechanical components. Perform diesel engine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs. Service commercial trucks, dump trucks, pickup trucks, and fleet vehicles. Maintain and repair commercial mowers, skid steers, excavators, and other landscaping equipment. Perform minor bodywork, rust repairs, and basic cosmetic repairs. Inspect and repair trailers, electrical wiring, lights, and towing components. Ensure all applicable fleet vehicles are maintained in compliance with DOT regulations, safety requirements, and insurance standards. Conduct routine vehicle safety inspections and identify deficiencies requiring corrective action. Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection documentation, and repair logs to support DOT and insurance compliance. Identify mechanical issues before they result in equipment breakdowns. Assist with fleet maintenance scheduling and preventative maintenance programs. Keep the shop and work areas clean, organized, and safe. Requirements Minimum 1 year of automotive, diesel, or mechanical repair experience required. Must have your own tools. Working knowledge of gas, diesel and small engines. Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance and basic mechanical repairs. Experience with commercial trucks or heavy equipment. Familiarity with DOT vehicle inspection requirements and fleet safety standards. Must be dependable, organized, and capable of working independently. Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Compensation & Schedule Starting at $25.00 per hour , with higher compensation available based on experience and qualifications. Full-time and part-time positions available.
