Responsibilities: Be punctual and reliable Prepare CAD drawings - create, edit, and maintain CAD drawings, legal descriptions, documents, and spreadsheets Draft site plans, forms, and final surveys using AutoCAD software Review and quality-check completed drawings for accuracy and consistency Interpret field notes, sketches, and survey data to produce precise drawings Maintain and organize CAD files and prioritize work Verify, compile, process, and prepare data into an electronic drawing format as specified by the Project Manager Follow company drafting standards and operating procedures Determine builder/production specifications to ensure that specifications are followed Identify, scale, and orient geodetic points, elevations, and other planimetric or topographic features, applying standard mathematical formulas Survey data to determine positions and elevations of topographic features. Gather information - Observing, receiving, and obtaining information from all sources Support field survey crews as needed with data entry and documentation Review field data to ensure that survey data and results are presented in compliance with requirements Revise existing drawings, making all necessary adjustments and corrections Inspect final compositions to ensure completeness and accuracy Ensure productivity objectives set by Project Managers for drawings are achieved. Perform quality control checks of drawings prepared by other technicians Import/Export field data Perform other duties as assigned Working conditions: Work in an office environment at a computer Sitting for extended periods of time. Ability to concentrate and adapt to changing priorities regularly Requirements: Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D or land surveying software is a plus Valid Identification card or Texas driver's license and Clean Driving Record Ability to read and interpret survey field notes, legal descriptions, and plat maps Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate drawings Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment All applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screen Maintain outstanding work attendance Ability to multitask Fieldwork for the first 90 days Overtime as needed Skills: Working knowledge of land survey data collection processes Comprehensive knowledge of general drafting standards and all aspects of the field survey process Highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Ability to think critically and solve problems creatively Clear communication, strong listening skills, and attention to detail Demonstrated ability as a leader and team member Excellent time management with focus on meeting deadlines Experience in boundary and topographic surveys is a plus Job Type: Full-Time Compensation: Based on work experience
