Auto Parts Counterperson

Belle Glade Chevrolet Job Overview As an Auto Parts Counterperson, you’ll help customers and service teams find the right parts and accessories. You’ll combine product knowledge, customer service and organized inventory practices to keep orders moving accurately. Duties Assist customers and technicians with parts selection, automotive parts sales and order fulfillment in person and by phone. Use mechanical knowledge, vehicle systems knowledge and automotive diagnostics to support parts recommendations; refer repair or maintenance questions to qualified service staff when needed. Process sales and payments using point-of-sale (POS) systems; handle cashiering, cash handling, retail math and Microsoft Office tasks accurately. Support inventory management and control, stocking, automotive parts management and computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) records. Build customer relationships through clear communication, phone etiquette and client communication. Your impact: Accurate recommendations and timely orders help customers and service teams complete vehicle maintenance and repairs with the parts they need. Experience Customer service, retail sales, automotive parts sales or dealership experience is helpful; automotive parts and accessories knowledge is preferred. Familiarity with automotive repair, vehicle maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting and automotive service is an asset. Bring sales, negotiation, sales management, organizational skills and strong math and communication skills. Experience with inventory control, order fulfillment, POS systems, Microsoft Office or CMMS is useful. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are welcome.
