Auto parts authorityJob Summary The AUTO PARTS COUNTER PERSON supports customers and repair teams by identifying parts, processing sales, and coordinating accurate order fulfillment. This customer-facing role combines automotive parts knowledge, organized service, and clear communication to keep requests moving smoothly. Duties Assist customers at the counter and by phone, using customer service, phone etiquette, and sales skills to understand needs and recommend suitable parts. Check availability, prepare orders, and coordinate order fulfillment for customers and colleagues. Process transactions using POS systems, handle cashiering and cash handling accurately, and maintain organized records. Support retail sales through product knowledge, clear communication, and professional negotiation. Your impact: Accurate, timely parts support helps customers complete repairs and enables colleagues to keep work on schedule. Requirements Required: Strong communication, customer service, math, and organizational skills support accurate transactions, order coordination, and helpful service. Comfort with POS systems, cashiering, cash handling, and phone etiquette is useful in daily counter work. Preferred: Dealership experience, retail sales, automotive repair or maintenance knowledge, and bilingual or multilingual communication are advantageous. Familiarity with CMMS, Microsoft Excel, marketing, or sales management can also support effective parts service and team coordination.
