Auto Parts Counter & Operations Associate – Spanish Required Washington Auto Parts (MESG Corp.) 32 Greenwood Ave, East Orange, NJ 07017 Full-time | On-site | $20.00 per hour | 40 paid hours per week Conversational Spanish is required to assist Spanish-speaking customers at the counter and by phone. Applicants must be able to understand customer requests and explain order or return information in Spanish. Build practical skills in the auto parts business with hands-on training from the owner. Washington Auto Parts is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented person to join our East Orange storefront. Your first focus will be organizing and processing parts returns accurately. As you learn our systems and demonstrate proficiency, you will also train in counter sales, parts lookup, phone orders and dispatch support. You do not need to know every part on day one. We are looking for someone who is reliable, comfortable using computers, willing to ask questions and committed to getting the details right. The owner personally leads the training. What you will do Match returned parts with invoices, part numbers, quantities and return records. Prepare vendor return paperwork and organize parts for return. Track outstanding returns and follow through on vendor credits, bringing discrepancies to the owner's attention. Keep records accurate and the returns area organized. Learn to assist customers at the counter, look up parts and take phone orders. Learn to support dispatch by helping coordinate orders and communicating order status with the team. Provide courteous customer service and work closely with coworkers as priorities change. What we are looking for Accuracy and attention to detail, especially with part numbers, invoices and paperwork. Reliability, punctuality and consistent follow-through. Comfort using computers and learning new software. Clear communication and a helpful customer-service approach. Willingness to learn, accept feedback and ask for help when something does not match. Conversational Spanish for assisting customers in person and by phone is required. Automotive parts familiarity is helpful, but training is provided. Training Training starts with returns and record accuracy, then expands to counter sales and dispatch support as skills develop. You will work directly with the owner and receive feedback on your progress. All on-the-job training is paid. Pay and schedule $20.00 per hour; 40 paid hours per week. Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Each day includes a 30-minute unpaid, duty-free meal break, for 8 paid working hours. Sunday and Monday off.
