AUTO/DIESEL MECHANIC
JR Tunstall TruckingOverview Join our team as an Auto/Diesel Mechanic and keep vehicles and equipment ready for dependable, safe operation. You’ll diagnose and repair automotive, diesel, heavy truck, and industrial equipment, using mechanical knowledge and hands-on skill across a range of systems. Your impact: Accurate repairs help drivers and equipment operators return to work with reliable vehicles and machinery. Duties Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, shocks and struts, brakes, air brakes, alignments, hydraulics, heating and air conditioning (HVAC), and automotive electrical systems. Perform vehicle maintenance, tire service, equipment repair, and preventive maintenance on farm machinery, tractors, tractor-trailers, and industrial equipment. Read schematics, inspect vehicle systems, and use hand and power tools to complete repairs and assembly. Perform fabrication, welding, and soldering; safely handle heavy lifting and support customer service needs.
