Position Summary: The Audit Planner serves as a key contributor to Contract Compliance (CC) leadership by leading audit planning, risk assessment, and engagement preparation activities for supplier contract compliance audits. This position exercises independent judgment and discretion in evaluating contract information, analyzing business and operational risks, interpreting audit rights, and determining the most appropriate audit approach to maximize recovery opportunities and support client objectives. The Audit Planner, in collaboration with client stakeholders, suppliers, auditors, and internal leadership, is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of Contract Compliance audit engagements, from initial contract evaluation, data analysis, risk assessment, and audit planning through audit readiness and fieldwork preparation. An Audit Planner, depending on tenure, is expected to independently plan at least 10-20 audits per quarter while proactively identifying efficiencies, improving processes, and quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage and maintain Contract Compliance planning databases, audit tracking systems, and project schedules to support audit forecasting, resource planning, workflow management, and leadership decision-making. Conduct comprehensive reviews of supplier contracts, amendments, supporting documentation, and related records to ensure completeness, assess audit readiness, and evaluate potential contract compliance risks and recovery opportunities. Facilitate interviews and consultative discussions with client stakeholders, contract owners, procurement personnel, and operational leaders to evaluate contract intent, business objectives, operational practices, and compliance requirements. Analyze supplier agreements, contractual obligations, commercial terms, and stakeholder feedback to assess audit viability, identify areas of financial and operational risk, and develop recommendations regarding audit scope, methodology, and priorities. Prepare and present due diligence findings, risk assessments, audit recommendations, and planning analyses to management, auditors, and client stakeholders to support informed decision-making and audit planning activities. Coordinate and manage communications with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding audit planning initiatives, including data requests, questionnaires, surveys, contract inquiries, and audit readiness activities. Identify, evaluate, and document contractual, financial, operational, and compliance risks through contract analysis, stakeholder interviews, data review, and business process evaluations. Develop recommendations that support effective audit execution and maximize recovery opportunities. Monitor and manage client-supplier interactions throughout the audit planning and audit execution process, proactively identifying issues, facilitating communication, and recommending solutions to maintain productive business relationships and support successful engagement outcomes. Design and implement audit sampling methodologies, determine appropriate testing strategies, evaluate data populations, and generate audit samples utilizing analytical tools and professional judgment to support effective contract compliance reviews. Develop and deliver management reports, audit pipeline analyses, recovery forecasts, audit candidate evaluations, operational metrics, and executive summaries regarding audit schedules, potential recovery opportunities, project status, and audit performance outcomes. Collaborate with auditors, planning leadership, business development personnel, and client stakeholders to evaluate audit opportunities, prioritize engagements, improve planning processes, and support strategic business objectives.
