Audio Visual Warehouse Technician

Audio Visual Warehouse Technician - Part-Time AVLD Events Inc. is seeking a part-time Audio Visual Warehouse Technician to help prepare, organize, and maintain audiovisual equipment for events. This role primarily supports warehouse operations, with additional responsibilities including equipment deliveries, pickups, and on-site event setup and breakdown. Entry-level audiovisual experience is highly recommended. A valid driver’s license and the ability and willingness to drive a 16 or 26-foot truck are preferred. Position Details ● Reports to: Operations Manager ● Job type: Part-time ● Pay: Starting at $20 per hour, based on experience ● Location: Upper Marlboro, MD 20774 ● Work location: In person, with travel to event venues as needed Warehouse and Equipment Operations ● Pull, prepare, and stage audiovisual equipment and supplies for upcoming events. ● Load and unload company vehicles, handling and securing equipment carefully to prevent damage. ● Receive returned equipment, check for missing items or visible damage, and return items to their designated storage locations. ● Assist with inventory counts, restocking, and maintaining accurate equipment records. ● Keep equipment, storage areas, and warehouse workspaces clean and organized. ● Assist with basic equipment checks, cleaning, and routine maintenance, and report equipment issues to the appropriate team member. ● Follow company procedures for safe equipment handling and warehouse operations. Transportation and Event Support ● Safely drive company vehicles, including 16-foot and 26-foot trucks, to deliver and pick up equipment. ● Complete routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns. ● Assist with audiovisual equipment setup and breakdown at event venues. ● Communicate with warehouse staff, drivers, and event teams to coordinate equipment needs and schedules. ● Interact professionally with clients and venue staff during deliveries, pickups, and event support. ● Follow company policies, traffic laws, and applicable safety requirements. Required Qualifications ● Valid driver’s license with a clean three-year driving record. ● Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. ● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. ● Effective communication skills and a dependable, team-oriented approach. ● Ability to work independently and follow instructions in a fast-paced environment. ● Ability to commute to Upper Marlboro, MD 20774, including out of normal business hours ● Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed. Highly Recommended / Preferred ● Entry-level experience with audiovisual equipment, including audio, video, lighting, or related event equipment, is recommended. ● Previous warehouse, inventory, or equipment-handling experience is preferred. ● Previous experience driving box trucks is preferred. ● A DOT medical card is a plus. Work Environment and Schedule Work takes place primarily in a warehouse, with additional duties at event venues and while making deliveries or pickups. The position involves standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and loading or unloading equipment. Shifts may range from 5 or more hours. Day, evening, night, and occasional overnight shifts may be available or required based on event schedules. Weekend and holiday availability may be needed.
