Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Auction Preparation Associate, where your energy and attention to detail will drive the success of our online only auction operations. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing auction items, managing inventory, and ensuring all materials are ready for seamless uploading. Your proactive approach and technical proficiency will contribute to a smooth workflow, supporting our commitment to excellence in logistics and materials handling. This paid position offers an engaging environment where safety, efficiency, and teamwork are at the forefront of daily operations. We do 1099 / independent contractor pay that starts at $15 per hour. A recognized ability to contribute to getting the auctions prepared in a timely manner will result in increased pay and success of the company. Typical daytime hours with some flexibility if you are looking only for part time. Although we stay on task and do work here, it is quite a laid back environment. Due to the regulatory nature of auctioneering and required licensing, clean criminal backgrounds are required. Duties Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming inventory. Pick, prepare and photograph items for auction, pull customer pick-up tickets and prepare items for shipment, ensuring correct quantities and proper handling techniques. Organize inventory within the warehouse and client locations for easy access, tracking, and efficient space utilization. Follow OSHA safety guidelines and warehouse procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Requirements Good photography skills; Taking clear, in focus and well framed pictures of inventory in an efficient manner. Strong understanding of inventory management practices and software. For example loading lot pics and descriptions into the online auction web platform. Some heavy lifting (storage container totes and moving furniture for example) Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and order processing Experience with shipping & receiving procedures including order picking & packing Knowledge of safety protocol adherence Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in stock management and materials handling processes Technical proficiency with inventory management systems Clean criminal background required per auctioneer licensing board. Driver's license / transportation is required. Though we have a business location where most of the work takes place, 30-40% of the sales are spent working at customer locations. Your dedication will ensure our auction events run smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
