Athletic Operations Staff (Part-Time, On-Call)

Francis Parker School (Parker) is a coeducational independent day school in San Diego, California, with 1,330 students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12. Founded in 1912, the school’s mission is “to create and inspire a diverse community of independent thinkers whose academic excellence, global perspective, and strength of character prepare them to make a meaningful difference in the world.” Parker has two campuses: one in Mission Hills (Lower School, Junior Kindergarten - Grade 5), and a second in Linda Vista (Middle and Upper School, Grades 6 - 12).

Job Description:

Provide the athletic department with game day support, as well as facility coverage for external users. This will include assisting the athletic administrators with other duties necessary for efficient operations, which demonstrates the skills and values of the Francis Parker School Mission and athletic department philosophy.

 Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Set up and break down games
• Benches, score tables, score clocks, signage
• Manage scoreboards and audio (music, announcing, etc.)
• Return electronics and equipment to the appropriate storage area after the game
• Enforce all department and School rules
• Provide facility coverage for external users, as requested by the department
• Other athletic department duties, as requested by the department 

Qualifications:

• Experience with game day management systems, including scoreboards and software
• Able to effectively communicate with officials, coaches, and opponents
• Able to complete and follow detailed verbal and written instructions within specified timeframes
• Able to provide instruction to external facility users

Salary and Benefits:

This is a Part-Time, On-Call seasonal position paying $25.00 per hour. This position is not eligible for benefits. Hours will vary based on your availability and the school's needs.
