Role: Warehouse Associate Reports to : Distribution Center Manager FLSA: Non-Exempt Location : El Cajon/Raleigh Why this role is important at Genesee Scientific? You will play a crucial role in ensuring that high-quality life science products are delivered to our customers accurately and on time, while contributing to a positive and efficient work environment. What will you do: Process orders accurately and efficiently to meet customer expectations Able to perform tasks in all the following process paths, receiving, picking, packing & shipping Package and label shipments following standard operating procedures and complete all necessary documentation for hazardous materials Assist in proper storage and management of inventory Pulling of sample orders Building of Maker products as required Work collaboratively with your team to foster a positive and supportive work environment Operate Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) equipment as needed once trained and authorized to move, stage, load, and unload materials. If required for compliance, Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Certification or willingness to obtain (training provided) Maintain compliance with safety protocols Requirements: What you will bring: 1+ years of relevant experience in a stockroom or warehouse is a plus Familiarity with FedEx and UPS shipping programs is a plus Strong attention to detail and accuracy Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment Desire to work as part of a team, but also able to work independently and solve problems quickly Basic proficiency with computers and scanning equipment preferred, along with familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Teams Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Works efficiently within deadlines Physical Requirements: Perform the following tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation: Lift and carry packages weigh 60 lbs. and perform frequent bending, stooping, and reaching to handle materials Stand and move continuously throughout the shift, including walking and navigating stairs Pick, pack, and prepare items accurately and efficiently for shipment At Genesee Scientific, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
