Associate Purchasing Coordinator

Professional Supply is seeking a motivated Purchasing Associate to join our Purchasing and Inventory Control Team. The responsibility of the Purchasing Associate is to support the Purchasing Department in various categories including: Purchasing/Buying Submitting Purchase Orders Purchase Order follow up for delivery dates, due dates, etc. Drop-ship orders Inventory/Vendor Management Assist with product sourcing Inventory item setup Cost/pricing verification Maintaining accurate vendor information and price lists Vendor/Carrier Communication Shipment follow-up/status requests Lost/missing shipments Vendor credits/disputes Carrier disputes Damaged product claims Purchasing/Warehouse Communication Be a contact point between our warehouse staff and office staff The Purchasing Associate will also assist in inter-department communication between the warehouse, sales team, and other company contacts in order to deliver the best experience for our customers. Our office believes in cross-training and each employee is expected to learn and share in duties of basic office tasks including: answering phones, assisting customers, executive support, internal company projects, and other various tasks as they present themselves. Each employee carries their designated duties and steps in to cover other office duties when the designated person is out. The ideal candidate should have strengths in mathematics, Microsoft Office including skill in Excel spreadsheets and formulas, and a basic knowledge of procurement. Confidentiality and professionalism are traits required in order to conduct the responsibilities of this position.
