Shippy ShoesJob Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Pedorthist to join our dynamic shoe fitting team. In this role, you will provide expert assessment and fitting recommendations for footwear to improve customers mobility, comfort, and overall quality of life. You will collaborate closely with Sales Specialists to deliver personalized customer service while ensuring adherence to best pedorthic practices. Responsibilities Conduct customer assessments, including gait analysis and footwear/insole recommendations Fit, adjust, and potentially modify current footwear models and insoles to best fit customer need Educate customers on current footwear models/styles, features and intended uses Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers for best recommendations for ailments diagnosed Use of a Brannock device to measure and fit the customers feet Use of foot scanning software/hardware for fabrication of custom orthotics Use of word processor and spreadsheet software Use of inventory management and point of sale software Complete certification with National Commission on Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE) within six months of hire (paid for by employer) Complete examination for American Board for Certification (ABC) within one year of hire (paid for by employer) Stay current with continuing education (CEs) to maintain Board Certification after being certified Qualifications Associates or Bachelors (or pursuing degree) in Kinesiology, Integrative Physiology, Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy, Biomechanics or Functional Anatomy Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and medical terminology relevant to footwear and orthotics Excellent communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to customer service Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week Benefits: Employee discount Flexible schedule Paid time off Education: Associate (Preferred) Experience: Customer service: 2 years (Required) Work Location: In person
