Job Overview The Associate Manager – Production & Material Control (PMC) will be responsible for driving end-to-end production planning, material availability, and inventory control to support manufacturing operations at Lite-On’s plant. This role plays a critical part in ensuring on-time production, optimized inventory levels, and seamless coordination across procurement, production, and customer demand. Responsibilities Lead production planning and scheduling to align manufacturing output with customer demand and delivery commitments. Manage material planning and control, ensuring timely availability of raw materials, components, and WIP to avoid production disruptions. Drive MRP/ERP planning processes, maintaining accurate BOMs, inventory data, and planning parameters. Monitor and balance demand vs. supply, proactively identifying risks (shortages, excess, obsolescence) and driving mitigation plans. Partner closely with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to ensure smooth material flow and line readiness. Oversee inventory management, including cycle counts, stock accuracy, and working capital optimization. Track and report key KPIs (OTD, inventory turns, plan adherence, shortage management) and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Support capacity planning and production loading, ensuring optimal utilization of plant resources. Drive cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Engineering, and Customer teams to resolve supply chain or production issues. Lead and develop a team of planners/material controllers, setting clear goals and ensuring performance alignment. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Production Planning, Material Control, or PMC within electronics manufacturing / EMS environment (preferred). Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (SAP preferred) and production planning processes. Proven experience in high-volume manufacturing and fast-paced operations. Understanding of inventory control, supply-demand planning, and shop floor coordination. Familiarity with ISO/QMS standards and structured manufacturing processes. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective communication and ability to work in a cross-functional, global environment. Experience in new plant setup / ramp-up environment (preferred). Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies (preferred).
