Manages supplier quality performance through prevention, monitoring/escalation processes, processing of supplier submission of nonconforming material. Manages/Supports supplier onboarding and qualification/certification. Manages source inspection and material release processes. Performs Escape management procedures, drives root cause analysis & problem solving and recommends corrective and preventive action for systemic supplier process and product materials. Proactively supports the RTX supplier programs to ensure healthy continuous improvement and sustainability. Analyzes quality data to identify systemic issues and develops supplier specific quality initiative strategies; addressing them with key proactive quality tools (e.g., PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, SPC, etc.), as well as driving their implementation. Ensures that supplier is capable to meet all contract requirements including Resourcing Gate, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance and Work Transfer implementation. Owns the execution of key elements of Supplier Quality & Development operational plans. May lead a team of primarily experienced Supplier Quality & Development professionals or a team responsible for Supplier Quality & Development for an organization of small size or scope. Sets tactical and operational plans for the achievement of short- to medium-term goals for supplier performance. Provides guidance on the implementation of quality initiatives. What You Will Do: Leads a Team and owns the execution of long-term strategy (e.g., more than 3 years) and the operational direction, typically for a business of modest size and scope. Manages a team of primarily experienced professionals.Focuses on tactical and operational plans with short- to medium-term focus (e.g., less than 1 year to 1 - 2 years). Problems faced are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysis. Requires ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and ability to communicate and influence executive leadership.
