As an Associate Buyer/Planner , you will plan, procure and expedite inventory materials to ensure availability in support of production requirements. Working closely with Manufacturing and other internal teams, you will monitor inventory levels, sourcing lead times, production requirements and forecasts while supporting purchasing and sourcing activities. You will also evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, maintain supplier and product information, support cost savings initiatives, and assist in resolving material availability and supply issues as they arise. Typically, this role requires a post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field of study and three years of previous planning or buying experience; a combination of education and experience will also be considered. To succeed, you should have strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent mathematical skills, proven negotiation and customer service skills, and a high attention to detail with the ability to adjust priorities as needed. Experience working in a manufacturing operation would be considered an asset, and proficiency with Microsoft Office is required. The anticipated base salary for this position is $58,000 - $68,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentives and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
