Assistant Warehouse Manager / Sales

Stepping into the dynamic role of Assistant Warehouse Manager will look like helping customers find the perfect product for their project from our in stock materials. This pivotal position offers an exciting opportunity to help optimize warehouse operations, ensuring seamless supply chain processes and exceptional inventory control. As a key team member, you will support the Warehouse Manager in driving process improvements, managing logistics, and supervising staff to achieve operational excellence along with sales to customers. Assist in overseeing daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment. Supervise warehouse staff, including scheduling, training on forklift operation, safety protocols, and performance evaluations. Contribute to demand planning, production planning, procurement, and budgeting efforts to optimize supply chain efficiency. Monitor inventory control processes. Support shipping & receiving activities, freight coordination, and warehouse distribution tasks while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. Sales experience is a major plus as our warehouse is also an outlet location with some cash and carry materials to sell to meet yearly sales goals. Willing to learn and execute bindings for rugs in house. Proven experience in warehouse supervision with a strong understanding of warehouse operations management. Supervising experience with a focus on safety protocols related to forklift operation and warehouse procedures. Strong background in freight management, shipping & receiving processes, and materials handling within a fast-paced environment. Very strong computer skills, attention to detail and self starter with a great attitude. Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Knowledge of flooring industry is a major bonus but not required. Willingness to learn the industry, products and services is most important. Experience with POS system is required as you will be helping assist customers in purchases. A positive attitude, ability to communicate and voice concerns, and suggestions on how to increase efficiency, safety and sales.
