The Role We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. The Assistant Warehouse Manager provides hands-on leadership to warehouse employees, assists with coordinating daily workloads and activities, and serves as the primary point of contact for warehouse operations in the Warehouse Manager's absence. This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $26.00 to $28.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. This is a 100% on-site position. Key Responsibilities Assist the Warehouse Manager with the daily operation of the warehouse, including receiving, put-away, order picking, packing, staging, loading, shipping, and inventory activities. Provide day-to-day direction and support to warehouse employees to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently. Help assign workloads and establish daily priorities based on customer orders, incoming shipments, deliveries, transfers, and operational needs. Monitor employee productivity, attendance, work quality, and adherence to established procedures. Assist with training and onboarding new warehouse employees and provide ongoing coaching and instruction to existing team members. Ensure products are properly received, inspected, labeled, stored, picked, and staged to minimize damage and inventory discrepancies. Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and investigation of inventory discrepancies. Coordinate with customer service, sales, and other departments regarding orders, customer pickups, deliveries, inventory, and operational issues. Support the coordination of inbound and outbound freight, including carrier pickups, transfers, and customer orders. Verify shipping and receiving documentation for accuracy and completeness. Assist with maintaining an organized warehouse and ensuring aisles, loading areas, workstations, and storage locations are clean and free of hazards. Monitor proper use of forklifts, pallet jacks, material-handling equipment, and other warehouse equipment. Ensure employees follow Company safety policies, procedures, and required personal protective equipment standards. Identify safety concerns and operational issues and promptly communicate them to the Warehouse Manager or appropriate management. Assist with investigating damaged or missing products, shipping errors, and other warehouse discrepancies. Support equipment, building, and facility needs by identifying maintenance issues and coordinating with management as necessary. Assist with maintaining adequate warehouse supplies and equipment. Help enforce Company policies, procedures, attendance expectations, and performance standards. Provide input regarding employee performance, training needs, process improvements, and corrective action when appropriate.
