Assistant Warehouse Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our team. Duties Assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management. Coordinate warehouse distribution processes to optimize workflow and reduce delays. Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance on materials handling equipment operation, heavy lifting Implement process improvements using lean management principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Manage inventory control systems and conduct regular cycle counts. Ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Oversee logistics operations involving third-party logistics providers (3PL). Support shipping & receiving activities, including documentation accuracy and timely dispatch of goods. Utilize Microsoft Office tools for reporting, data analysis, and communication with team members and stakeholders. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution. Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts safely; forklift certification is preferred. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in shipping & receiving processes. Effective communication skills for managing teams and coordinating with internal departments and external partners.
