Assistant to the Warehouse Manager – Warehouse Associate

Job Overview As an Assistant to the Warehouse Manager – Warehouse Associate, you’ll help keep warehouse operations organized, safe, and moving efficiently. You’ll support daily distribution center operations, coordinate shipping and receiving, and assist with inventory control while working alongside the warehouse manager and team. This hands-on role combines materials handling with opportunities to contribute to process improvement and team leadership. Duties Support warehouse management with daily logistics, task coordination, and clear managerial communication. Receive, inspect, store, pick, pack, and ship materials; update inventory using a warehouse management system, inventory management systems, and an RF (radio frequency) scanner. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely to move, load, and unload goods. Monitor inventory accuracy, organize storage areas, and help identify process improvements using lean management principles. Your impact: Accurate inventory and dependable shipping and receiving help coworkers fulfill orders and keep goods moving through the distribution center. Skills Essential: Warehouse experience; knowledge of warehouse operations, warehouse distribution, inventory management, inventory control, logistics, and shipping and receiving. Essential: Ability to safely handle materials and perform heavy lifting; experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment. Preferred: Warehouse supervisor experience, team management, or team leadership experience. Preferred: Familiarity with Microsoft Office, warehouse management systems, RF scanners, and distribution center operations. Knowledge of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) safety practices and lean management is an asset. Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 50.0 – 75.0 per week Work Location: In person
