Star Nova US LLCAssistant to Quality and Shipping Job Description: Job Overview We are seeking a capable, hands-on Assistant to the Quality & Shipping Superintendent to support quality control and outbound shipping operations in our warehouse. This position is designed for an individual with an engineering background who can combine technical thinking, physical presence on the warehouse floor, strong organization, and execution ability. The successful candidate will work closely with the Quality & Shipping Superintendent to ensure products meet required quality standards before shipment, and that outbound activities are properly planned, coordinated, and completed on schedule. This is not a desk-only position. The Assistant is expected to spend significant time walking the warehouse, observing operations, verifying that quality control activities are being performed correctly, identifying problems, and helping drive issues through resolution. We're looking for someone analytical enough to support planning and problem-solving, and practical and energetic enough to step onto the floor and ensure plans are carried out. What You’ll Do: Assist the Quality & Shipping Superintendent with daily planning and execution of quality control and outbound shipping activities Help coordinate shipping priorities based on scheduled outbound loads, product readiness, and operational requirements Monitor warehouse activities to ensure required quality inspections are being completed correctly and on time Regularly walk the warehouse floor to verify quality standards, workflow, product condition, and shipment readiness Follow up with Quality Control personnel to ensure identified issues are corrected and closed before releasing products for shipment. Assist in prioritizing QC activities based on upcoming shipping schedules and operational needs. Help identify potential quality or shipping problems before they affect customer deliveries. Review operational information, inspection results, measurements, documentation, and shipment requirements as needed. Assist with planning manpower, workflow, staging, inspection priorities, and other resources required to meet shipping deadlines. Coordinate with warehouse, quality, logistics, and other departments to keep outbound operations moving efficiently. Investigate operational or quality issues, identify root causes, and help develop practical corrective actions. Track open quality issues and follow through until appropriate corrective work has been completed. Help ensure products are properly inspected, corrected, staged, and ready before loading Support continuous improvement of quality control and shipping processes Maintain clear and accurate records related to quality inspections, corrective work, and shipment readiness Assist the Superintendent with special projects, process improvements, operational analysis, and other assigned responsibilities Step in and take ownership of operational tasks when necessary to ensure important deadlines are met Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required Engineering discipline is not limited to a specific field Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Ability to understand technical requirements, measurements, specifications, drawings, and operational processes Strong organizational and planning skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment Comfortable working both independently and as part of a cross-functional team Strong communication and follow-up skills Ability to take initiative without requiring constant direction Strong sense of ownership and accountability for assigned responsibilities Comfortable using computers, spreadsheets, and operational tracking systems Physical Requirements This is an active warehouse position and requires regular presence on the warehouse floor.
