Assistant Terminal Manager

TransWood is hiring an Assistant Terminal Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our Cheyenne terminal. This role works closely with terminal leadership, professional drivers, and customers to help ensure safe, reliable, and professional service. Compensation and Benefits Compensation up to $80,000 , based on relevant experience Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance Health savings account 401(k) with employer contribution Paid vacation and holidays Key Responsibilities Support the terminal’s commitment to customer service and employee safety Coordinate and assist with dispatching loads for professional drivers Assist with managing the terminal’s fleet of trucks Support driver training and performance management activities Monitor driver efficiency and performance Assist with driver evaluations, coaching, discipline, and other performance-related processes Help complete weekly terminal reports, terminal P&L reporting, and other business operations Assist with customer load billing and customer service Audit driver logs and help maintain accurate operational records Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, terminal leadership, and other team members Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-focused work environment Qualifications At least two years of transportation management or dispatching experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office programs Knowledge of electronic logging devices, or ELDs Ability to learn dispatching software Familiarity with DOT safety regulations and transportation terminology Strong attention to detail Inquisitive mindset and willingness to learn Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced transportation environment
