Assistant Store Manager - Operations

Assistant Manager Irr Supply Centers, Inc. Schedule Monday – Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Alternating Saturdays: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Position Overview: Irr Supply Centers, Inc. is a leading distributor of heating, cooling, plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical products, serving customers throughout Upstate New York and Northern Pennsylvania. We are seeking a hands-on Assistant Manager to support the Branch Manager in overseeing daily branch operations, leading warehouse personnel, and ensuring an efficient, customer-focused environment. This is an active leadership role for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring customers receive the products and service they need. Key Responsibilities Warehouse & Operations Management: Supervise and support warehouse personnel and daily operations. Oversee receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, and inventory management. Maintain a safe, organized warehouse and ensure efficient workflow. Support the Branch Manager in meeting branch goals and improving operational efficiency. Customer Service & Sales Support: Build and maintain strong customer relationships. Provide timely, accurate, and friendly service for customer inquiries, quotations, invoices, returns, warranty issues, and counter sales. Partner with branch employees to resolve customer concerns and ensure a positive customer experience. Inventory & Administrative Support: Coordinate warranty claims and defective product processing. Work with the purchasing department to maintain appropriate inventory levels and product availability. Assist with inventory accuracy, purchasing needs, and administrative reporting. Qualifications: Previous management or supervisory experience required. Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. Ability to lead, motivate, and hold employees accountable. Strong numerical aptitude and computer proficiency. Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve problems effectively. Comfortable handling administrative responsibilities while maintaining an active presence in daily operations. Industry knowledge or experience in plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, or electrical distribution preferred. Join Our Team!
