Assistant Store Manager
ConfidentialThe Assistant Store Manager is a key partner to the Store Manager in leading Bikinibird's first mainland boutique at the Hotel del Coronado. This role steps in to run the store and the team with full ownership whenever the Store Manager is not on the floor, and plays a critical part in keeping our island-born brand cohesive and consistent as we introduce it to a new market. Responsibilities for Assistant Store Manager Partner with the Store Manager to drive customer service excellence across store appearance, merchandising, display, and selling procedures Act as manager on duty and lead the team with full authority in the Store Manager's absence Support sales targets and gross profit goals by coaching associates on the floor and monitoring performance Help hire, train, and develop sales associates; reinforce clienteling best practices and brand standards Assist with scheduling, administrative tasks, and timely submission of personnel paperwork and reports Support inventory management, including receiving, cycle counts, replenishment, and quality assurance of merchandise Help enforce loss prevention procedures, including monitoring security cameras for suspicious activity Help maintain Bikinibird's brand consistency and a strong working relationship with Hotel del Coronado property management and on-site stakeholders Qualifications for Assistant Store Manager 2-4 years of retail experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or keyholder role; resort or luxury retail preferred Demonstrated clienteling skills and a track record of building repeat customer relationships Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to step into a leadership role on short notice Experience training and coaching associates Familiarity with Shopify, social platforms, and Google Analytics Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel, and carry products Able to give clear direction and lead by example Scheduling/Hours Working 4-5 days on the sales floor
