Assistant Store Manager

Duties Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including sales, inventory control, and customer service excellence Lead, supervise, and motivate retail staff to achieve sales goals while maintaining high standards of performance and professionalism Manage employee orientation, training & development initiatives to ensure team members are knowledgeable about products, policies, and procedures Conduct interviewing and recruiting activities to build a talented and diverse retail team Oversee inventory management processes such as stock replenishment, merchandising, purchasing, and inventory control to optimize product availability Handle cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) systems operation, cashiering duties, and payroll processing with accuracy and integrity Implement pricing strategies and promotional activities aligned with store objectives while ensuring compliance with company policies Monitor store operations including scheduling shifts, supervising customer service interactions, and maintaining store cleanliness and organization Utilize organizational skills to manage bookkeeping tasks, budgeting activities, and operational reports effectively Communicate managerial expectations clearly through managerial communication practices to foster teamwork and accountability Experience Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or in a supervisory role within the retail industry, preferably with grocery or specialty stores Demonstrated success in managing retail sales teams with strong leadership capabilities in team management and supervision Skilled in inventory management systems (POS systems), merchandising techniques, pricing strategies, and operational management Experience with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new employees, and conducting employee orientation sessions Strong organizational skills coupled with excellent communication abilities in both bilingual or multilingual environments preferred Basic math proficiency for cash handling, sales calculations, budgeting, and inventory assessments Knowledge of retail industry best practices including customer service standards, sales management techniques, and store operations management Familiarity with payroll processing, bookkeeping practices, and retail math concepts necessary for effective store management Join us to lead a vibrant retail environment where your management expertise will shine!
