Compensation: $21-$22 Hourly (DOE) + Commissions + Bonuses About the Role Are you a natural leader with a passion for sales, customer service, and hands-on team building? TrailersPlus is seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to help lead our lot and retail operations. As the Assistant Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving store revenue, managing daily operations, maintaining inventory, and overseeing customer service and repair work. You will serve as the right hand to the Store Manager and take the wheel in leading the team and running store operations in their absence. Key Responsibilities Sales & Revenue: Support the Store Manager in achieving store sales goals, generating local leads, and assisting customers with trailer, parts, and service purchases. Team Leadership & Development: Assist in supervising, hiring, onboarding, training, and coaching sales and service staff to maintain a productive and safe workplace. Operations & Inventory Management: Oversee daily trailer inspections, inventory control, vendor relations, invoicing, special orders, and accurate paperwork submission to state agencies. Store & Facility Maintenance: Ensure the facility, shop, and lot grounds are safe, clean, organized, and presentable. Hands-on Service & Safety: Drive equipment operation (forklift/tractor) and basic service work while following all safety guidelines and the company Employee Handbook. Store Management Support: Back up the Store Manager in their absence, including scheduling, timecard management, and team accountability. What We’re Looking For Qualifications: Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent; 6 months to 1 year of related retail, sales, or operational experience. Customer & Sales Focus: Outstanding customer service skills with a strong ability to drive sales and communicate effectively. Technical & Equipment Skills: Ability to obtain company certification to operate forklifts, tractors, power tools, and welding equipment. Computer & Math Literacy: Proficiency with online systems and basic math/calculations (discounts, commissions, percentages). Physical Capability: Ability to frequently stand, walk, routinely lift 50–75 lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
