Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes. Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets through effective coaching, training, and performance management. Manage inventory control, including stock replenishment, ordering, purchasing, and merchandising to maximize product availability and presentation. Handle customer service inquiries with professionalism and enthusiasm, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. Support shift management by supervising staff schedules, cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) systems operation, and cashiering duties. Conduct employee orientation sessions and participate in interviewing prospective team members to build a talented workforce. Maintain accurate bookkeeping and payroll records while adhering to budgeting guidelines. Implement operational policies related to pricing, inventory management, and store safety standards. Foster a collaborative team environment through effective communication skills and leadership that encourages growth and accountability. Qualifications Proven experience in fast food management or assistant manager roles within the customer service industry; supervisory experience is essential. Strong knowledge of retail math, POS systems, inventory management, merchandising, and operational procedures. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and manage managerial responsibilities confidently. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases. Demonstrated skills in negotiation, recruiting, training & development, budgeting, and sales management. Experience with grocery or retail store product knowledge is advantageous. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling, pricing adjustments, and inventory control.
