Assistant Store Manager

Duties Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures. Lead, motivate, and supervise retail sales teams to meet and exceed sales targets through effective coaching and training. Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to maximize sales opportunities. Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Oversee cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) systems operation, payroll processing, and bookkeeping tasks with accuracy. Conduct employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting efforts, and facilitate ongoing training & development programs. Coordinate purchasing activities and manage vendor relationships to ensure optimal inventory levels and cost efficiency. Requirements Proven retail management experience with supervisory or assistant manager roles in a retail setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a positive work environment. Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases. Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math skills for retail math calculations. Experience with merchandising, pricing strategies, sales management, and operational management. Knowledge of payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and cash handling procedures. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities with strong organizational skills and time management. Previous experience in grocery or specialty retail stores is advantageous; familiarity with wireless sales or grocery products is a bonus.
