Assistant Store Manager

Duties Assist in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring all activities align with company policies and standards Lead, motivate, and supervise sales associates to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to optimize product presentation and availability Support hiring processes by participating in interviewing prospective employees and facilitating employee orientation programs Handle cash register operations, POS systems, cash handling, and payroll processing with accuracy and integrity Coordinate purchasing activities, pricing strategies, and inventory management to maximize profitability Ensure compliance with safety procedures, store policies, and operational guidelines while supervising shift management Skills Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry with supervisory responsibilities Strong leadership abilities with excellent managerial communication skills and team management expertise Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, bookkeeping, and basic math for sales transactions and financial recordkeeping Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment Experience in recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, training & development to build high-performing teams Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases effectively Knowledge of retail math concepts such as pricing strategies, sales management, budgeting, and operational management Excellent customer service skills combined with phone etiquette and professional communication abilities Familiarity with grocery or retail store product knowledge is a plus for enhancing customer engagement Demonstrated ability to supervise staff during shift management while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency Embark on a rewarding career where your leadership can make a real impact!
