Assistant Store Manager

Job Summary - Please only apply if you have management experience. We are looking for a proactive and dynamic Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. In this role, you will support the store’s daily operations, motivate and lead staff, and ensure an outstanding shopping experience for our customers. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and passionate about retail management, with a knack for team leadership and excellent communication skills. You will play a key part in driving sales, managing inventory, and maintaining a welcoming store environment. Responsibilities Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures. Lead and supervise retail staff to ensure excellent customer service and smooth shift management. Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities. Handle purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to facilitate transactions efficiently. Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new team members. Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team skills and performance. Maintain accurate bookkeeping and payroll records while ensuring compliance with company policies. Implement operational management strategies to meet sales targets and budget goals. Experience Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience within the retail industry is essential. Proven track record in retail sales management, inventory management, and customer service excellence. Strong skills in negotiation, managerial communication, and team management are required. Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math is highly desirable. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for engaging with diverse customer bases. Demonstrated ability to manage operations efficiently while fostering a positive team environment. Familiarity with retail industry standards such as merchandising, pricing, stock control, and operational management is preferred.
