Assistant Production Manager / Print Manufacturing

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as an Assistant Production Manager in our print manufacturing department and become a key driver of operational excellence! In this role, you will support the production management team in overseeing daily manufacturing activities, ensuring seamless operations, and fostering continuous improvement initiatives. Your leadership will help optimize production processes, uphold quality standards, and enhance overall plant efficiency. Duties Assist the Production Manager in planning and coordinating daily production schedules to meet delivery deadlines and optimize resource utilization while meeting the customer's needs Monitor production activities Train new employees Analyze Excel data for production reporting Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality control, supply chain, and maintenance to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement initiatives Lead small teams on the shop floor, fostering a safety-first culture and promoting team leadership skills Assist in maintaining compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and plant management protocols Requirements Offset printing and/or collator experience a plus Proven experience in production management or manufacturing management roles with a focus on process improvement and operations management Knowledge of production scheduling is a plus but not required Understanding of manufacturing techniques such as lean management, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement strategies a plus but not required Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams and communicate effectively across departments Knowledge of quality control processes and plant safety regulations We are committed to empowering our employees through ongoing development opportunities and collaborative teamwork.
