We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Production Manager to help keep manufacturing projects organized, supplied, and on schedule. Working with the Production Manager, Engineering, and Production teams, you will coordinate job information, follow up on parts and outside work, and help resolve issues that slow production. This role combines office coordination with regular communication on the shop floor. Why Join Van Doren? Review newly released engineering and fabrication packages for completeness using a checklist, then route them to the appropriate departments. Coordinate with shop leads to make sure jobs have the drawings, parts, materials, and information needed to keep work moving. Assist with installation scheduling Keep production records, spreadsheets, and ERP information accurate and organized; provide administrative backup as needed. Communicate job status and changes across departments and coordinate with quality control, inventory, shipping, and installation teams. Participate in production meetings and help improve workflow, reduce delays, and support a safe, organized shop. What we are looking for Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through while managing several priorities. Clear communication and the ability to work well with shop employees, managers, vendors, and customers. Comfort using spreadsheets and business software, with the ability to learn our ERP system. Practical problem-solving skills and the initiative to identify issues, ask questions, and follow through. Equal comfort working on the production floor and in the production office. Work Environment: This position is based in a manufacturing facility and requires frequent presence on the production floor. The role involves working around production equipment, noise, press brakes, welders, and produce handling equipment.
