Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Plant Manager to support the overall operations of our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in production management, process improvement, and supply chain coordination. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to operational excellence, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve production goals efficiently and safely. The Assistant Plant Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring manufacturing processes align with quality standards, safety regulations, and business objectives. Duties Assist in overseeing daily plant operations, ensuring production schedules are met while maintaining high quality standards. Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes and reduce waste. Collaborate with production teams to develop and execute production planning and scheduling strategies using ERP systems such as SAP. Analyze manufacturing data using Excel and supply chain analytics tools to identify areas for process improvement and operational efficiencies. Coordinate with supply chain management to ensure timely procurement of materials and effective inventory control utilizing MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems. Lead efforts in continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence across the plant. Assist in managing plant safety protocols, quality control procedures, and compliance with industry regulations. Support cross-functional communication between departments including manufacturing, maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics to streamline operations. Requirements Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment, with a focus on operations management and process improvement. Strong knowledge of manufacturing management systems such as SAP, ERP platforms, and supply chain management tools. Proficiency in data analysis using Microsoft Excel and supply chain analytics software to inform decision-making. Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma practices, and continuous improvement strategies. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster collaboration across departments. Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Knowledge of quality control standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to manufacturing operations. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Industrial Technology or related field; advanced certifications such as Lean Management or Six Sigma are preferred.
