Assistant Parts Manager

Responsibilities Assist the Parts Manager with the daily operations, staffing, workflow, and overall performance of the Parts Department. Supervise, train, and support Parts Department employees to ensure exceptional productivity, accuracy, and customer service. Assist with inventory management, stock orders, special orders, pricing, and maintaining appropriate inventory levels and turnover. Support wholesale parts operations and develop opportunities to increase departmental sales and profitability. Monitor department sales, gross profit, expenses, inventory, and other key performance metrics. Assist with vendor and parts creditor relationships, paperwork flow, account management, and collection of past-due accounts. Help maintain an organized, efficient parts department and recommend improvements to storage, processes, and workflow. Assist with sales promotions, departmental initiatives, and other projects designed to improve profitability and customer satisfaction. Serve as a leader and resource for the Parts Department while providing support to the Parts Manager and dealership team. Qualifications 1+ years of automotive Parts Department experience. Previous Parts Management or Parts Leadership experience preferred. Subaru or Import automotive experience is a plus. Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of automotive parts operations, inventory management, and wholesale parts. Proven ability to work as part of a team and deliver excellent customer service. Proven track record of success in an automotive Parts Department.
