Job Title: Hotel Night Auditor
Job Summary:
The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing hotel
operations during the overnight shift, ensuring accurate financial reporting,
and providing exceptional guest service. This role combines front desk responsibilities
with accounting duties, making it essential for the Night Auditor to be
detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process
guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and professionally.
- Handle
guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a courteous manner.
- Perform
nightly audits of hotel financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in
revenue reports, room charges, and payments.
- Balance
and reconcile all accounts, including credit card transactions and cash
drawers.
- Prepare
and distribute daily reports for management.
- Monitor
hotel security, ensuring guest safety and reporting any suspicious
activity.
- Assist
with late-night reservations and modifications.
- Handle
emergency situations, such as fire alarms or guest medical incidents,
following hotel protocols.
- Perform
light housekeeping duties in the lobby or front desk area as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous
experience in hotel front desk or accounting roles preferred.
- Strong
attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent
customer service and communication abilities.
- Proficiency
in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, OnQ, or similar systems).
- Ability
to work independently and handle overnight shift responsibilities.
- Basic
knowledge of accounting principles and financial reconciliation.
- Availability
to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing
for extended periods.
- Occasional
lifting of up to 25 lbs.
Work Environment:
- Hotel
front desk and office areas.
- Quiet,
overnight setting with minimal supervision.
