Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Manager Trainee to join our retail team. Duties Assist in supervising daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer service Support employee orientation, training & development initiatives to foster a high-performing team Participate in interviewing and recruiting efforts to attract talented retail staff Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to optimize sales Handle cash handling, cashiering, POS (Point of Sale) systems operation, and basic bookkeeping tasks Contribute to payroll processing and assist with budgeting and operational management tasks Support shift management duties including supervising staff, overseeing sales management activities, and ensuring operational standards are met Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required Demonstrated supervisory or assistant manager experience within retail or similar industries Strong communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and manage managerial communication Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math skills for retail math and bookkeeping Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently Knowledge of retail industry sales team management, merchandising, pricing strategies, and customer service standards Experience with recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, training & development is highly desirable Leadership qualities with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and operational excellence Join us as an Assistant Manager Trainee and embark on a rewarding career path filled with growth opportunities.
