Assistant Manager/ sales Associate Barista

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager/Barista to join our vibrant Gift Shop and café team. This role combines leadership responsibilities with hands-on barista duties, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient operations, and high-quality food and beverage preparation. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a passion for coffee and food service, and the ability to manage daily tasks effectively. Duties Oversee daily café operations, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer experiences Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, utilizing expertise in food handling and food safety standards Manage cash handling, cashiering, and POS transactions using systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and food preparation tasks Provide training and support to team members to uphold service quality and operational standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café environment in compliance with health regulations Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and promote sales through friendly engagement Support sales goals by upselling products and creating a welcoming atmosphere for diverse clientele Skills Proven experience as a Barista with strong coffee-making skills and knowledge of food industry standards Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transactions Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively in diverse settings Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate register balancing Knowledge of food safety protocols, food preparation, and proper food handling procedures Ability to perform cashiering duties accurately while maintaining professionalism Experience in serving within a café or retail environment is highly desirable Competency in food industry practices including food service, food handling, and basic math calculations This role is paid and offers an engaging environment where energetic individuals can thrive while delivering outstanding service.
