Assistant Grocery Store Manager

Duties Assist in supervising daily store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and sales activities Support hiring, onboarding, training, and developing team members to ensure excellent employee orientation and ongoing growth Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service, addressing customer inquiries with professionalism and courtesy Oversee cash handling procedures, cashiering operations, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency Manage inventory control through purchasing, stock replenishment, pricing strategies, and shrink reduction initiatives Coordinate shift management schedules to optimize staffing levels and operational efficiency Assist with marketing efforts such as promotional displays and community engagement initiatives Requirements Bilingual Proven experience in retail sales, store management, or assistant management roles within grocery or similar retail environments Strong leadership skills with demonstrated supervising experience and team management capabilities Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly valued Proficiency in retail math, bookkeeping, payroll processing, budgeting, and inventory management software Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail merchandising techniques Ability to conduct interviews and participate in recruiting efforts to build a motivated team Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on time management and multitasking in a fast-paced setting Experience with training & development programs to enhance staff performance and store standards Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends; phone etiquette is essential for customer interactions Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering top-quality service while advancing your career in retail management!
