Assistant General Manager

Requirements: Available to work nights and weekends (Typical closing time 9pm) Dependable transportation Punctuality and Reliability Duties Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including sales, customer service, and staff management Lead and supervise team members to ensure high performance, providing coaching and training to develop their skills Manage employee orientation, recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding processes to build a talented team Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales potential Handle purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and POS (Point of Sale) system operations to ensure accurate transactions Support payroll processing, bookkeeping, and cash handling procedures with attention to detail and accuracy Implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to boost store visibility and sales growth Requirements Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervising responsibilities Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams effectively Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual proficiency preferred Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, customer service, and conflict resolution Knowledge of retail math, budgeting, inventory control, and POS systems Experience with cashiering, cash handling, and retail sales operations Ability to manage shift schedules efficiently while maintaining organizational flow Familiarity with grocery store operations or similar retail environments is advantageous Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping and administrative tasks Proficiency in training & development techniques for staff growth and performance improvement Join us as an Assistant General Manager if you're passionate about leading teams, enhancing customer experiences, and driving store success!
