Assistant General Manager

Position Summary The Assistant General Manager (AGM) will support the General Manager and Operations Specialist in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance, driving sales, managing inventory, and leading a dedicated team. The AGM will also play a crucial role in staff management, accounting, and maintaining high standards across all store-related activities. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Operations: Support daily store operations and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Partner with the General Manager to address operational needs, maintain facility standards, and coordinate support requests through designated systems. Resolve guest concerns and service recovery opportunities in a professional and timely manner. Support opening and closing procedures and maintain operational readiness. Promote store safety, security, and loss prevention initiatives to protect company assets. Actively engage with company communication platforms and required business communications. Compliance: Promote a culture of compliance by supporting adherence to all applicable state regulations, CRA requirements, and company policies. Support regulatory audits, inventory controls, and operational processes to maintain compliance standards. Sales Guest Experience: Drive store performance by monitoring sales, key performance indicators, and guest experience metrics. Champion the IGNITE Service standards through mentorship and accountability. Support the execution of promotions, loyalty programs, marketing initiatives, and other company-directed programs. Maintain visual merchandising, pricing, and promotional displays in accordance with company standards. Foster a customer-focused culture that drives guest loyalty, engagement, and repeat business. Complete IGNITE Service observations and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement. Inventory Management: Support inventory management processes to maintain accurate, compliant, and organized inventory. Support inventory audits, cycle counts, receiving tasks, returns, and inventory control procedures. Monitor product performance, inventory levels, and replenishment needs using reporting tools. Partner with leadership to address inventory discrepancies, aging inventory, and inventory optimization opportunities. Team Leadership Development: Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment aligned with the company’s Five Promises. Mentor, develop, and recognize team members to support performance, engagement, and career growth. Support onboarding and training initiatives to ensure team members are prepared for success. When serving as Manager on Duty, monitor staffing needs, workload distribution, and daily operations to drive efficiency and service excellence. Reinforce expectations related to attendance, appearance standards, workplace conduct, and operational performance. Escalate employee concerns, performance issues, and operational challenges to the General Manager as appropriate. Support company-sponsored events, community engagement opportunities, Higher Hopes Initiatives, and other Culture of Good programs that positively impact the communities we serve. Financial Administrative Responsibilities: Support cash management, audits, reconciliations, and financial controls in accordance with company procedures.
