Assistant General Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our retail management team. In this pivotal role, you will support the overall operations of the store, drive sales performance, and ensure exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes Lead, motivate, and supervise retail staff to deliver outstanding customer service and meet sales targets Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to maximize profitability Coordinate employee orientation, training & development programs, and performance evaluations Handle employee recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, payroll processing, and scheduling to maintain a high-performing team Oversee cash handling procedures, cashiering activities, POS (Point of Sale) systems operation, and cash reconciliation Implement operational policies related to purchasing, inventory management, bookkeeping, and store safety standards Requirements Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry Strong leadership skills with demonstrated team management and supervisory experience Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for diverse customer engagement Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math for sales and cash handling tasks Knowledge of retail sales techniques, merchandising principles, pricing strategies, and operational management Ability to perform under pressure with effective time management and organizational skills Experience in grocery or similar store environments is advantageous but not mandatory Exceptional customer service orientation with phone etiquette and conflict resolution skills Prior experience with recruiting, interviewing, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and budgeting is highly desirable Join us as an Assistant General Manager to lead with energy and enthusiasm!
