Role Description The Assistant Dispatcher role is a full-time, on-site position based in Nampa, ID. This role supports the dispatch team with day-to-day coordination of drivers, loads, and schedules. Responsibilities include monitoring driver locations, updating load status in dispatch systems, and communicating pickup and delivery details to drivers and customers. The Assistant Dispatcher helps resolve scheduling conflicts, responds to driver questions, and relays any changes in routes or appointment times. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, verifying documentation, and assisting with basic administrative tasks related to dispatch operations. The position works closely with dispatchers and drivers to keep operations running smoothly and on time. Qualifications Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail in scheduling and record keeping. Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with drivers, customers, and team members. Comfort with basic computer applications and dispatch or transportation management systems (training provided as needed). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and remain calm under pressure. Problem-solving skills and willingness to take initiative in addressing route changes, delays, or service issues. Customer service mindset with a professional, respectful approach to all interactions. Reliable attendance and the ability to work set full-time hours on-site in Nampa, ID. High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in trucking, logistics, or dispatch support is helpful but not required.
