Assistant Dispatcher

Who are you: The Assistant Dispatcher supports the Dispatcher and Drivers to ensure customer orders are delivered safely, accurately and efficiently with a focus on customer service. What you will be doing: Finish and file delivery paperwork from previous day(s), and relay any relevant information, that the delivery teams provided to you, to the proper Manager/Salesperson Interact with the Sales Team throughout the day; via text, email, IM and phone regarding delivery or scheduling issues. Route all delivery vehicles and make confirmation calls for the following day. Notate pertinent information on customer invoices. Facilitate resolution to a problem(s), the Delivery Team may be experiencing. Create and post the work schedule for all Delivery and Warehouse Personnel. Other duties related to the position to be described when interviewed. Our ideal candidate has: High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college coursework or an associate degree in business, communications, or a related field preferred. 1+ years of relevant experience in customer service, office administration, or a similar role preferred. 1+ years in dispatching or control Proven customer service experience. Sounds judgment and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data tracking and reporting. Ability to handle sensitive customer information and resolve escalations in a professional manner. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
